September turns Red
Join BHS in raising awareness for blood cancers!
This September, the Belgian Hematology Society (BHS) is thrilled to join the global community in marking Blood Cancer Awareness Month with the launch of our campaign #RedSeptember.
The objective? Raising awareness among the general public and political decision-makers about the life after cancer and get to know better the realities of patients during and after their treatments. How this affects their quality of life, their tiredness, mental health and going back to their daily life.
Priority challenges highlighted by the BHS:
- Improve the support after the cancer treatment for the patients hemato-oncological
- Systemic consultations: psychosocial assessment, needs screening (vaccination, fertility, residual pain...)
- More collaboration among hospitals, patient associations and authorities
Join our closing event!
On the 30th of September we are holding a campaign closing event "Healing better". If you are a health care practitioner or a cancer patient/former patient, you are welcome to come and join us. More information on the program will follow soon.
The event will take place at Comet Louise (Pl. Stéphanie 20, 1050 Bruxelles) between 10:00 and 12:00, followed by a networking lunch.
The event will be held both in French and Dutch, with interpretation available.
